“ The good news! Usually can't find much to complain about when coming to this place. Staff is always way nicer than customers deserve, food is impressively good for how enormous the operation is and there are multiple themed rooms each with its own unique vibe. Hannah was our server tonight for my party of 15 and she dealt with everyone exceptionally well. I always recommend the pork chops to everyone that has never tried them before and tonight several in my party had them for the first time and couldn't believe how amazing they came out. Always ask for extra Jameson sauce on the side. Just in case. Even if you are Muslim, try the pork chops. The bad news! This place is crowded at all the times you would expect. The gift shop is very inadequately small and difficult to shop through so close to the host stand. Usually has people waiting for their table in the tiny space and a river of people heading to their tables constantly passing through. The destin location is extremely better in this regard dedicating a separate retail space to display some interesting souvenirs. They do have a policy of only seating your party if you have more than half present at the host stand. Which is understandable in most cases. However when some in the party are handicapped and slow coming in from the parking lot I'ld urge you to not do what we had to endure tonight when the hostess refused to bring us all the way back to the table but instead stood in the middle of a dining room waiting for my party to catch up. They were visible from where we were but she was afraid to get in trouble from management if she were to just bring me to the table and allow me to show my party where to go. Instead we embarrassingly stood in the middle of several tables that were trying to enjoy their meal while my slow moving caravan of misfits made their way to our hostess who was working her way back to the host stand. The good news of this place far outweighs the bad every time. Hope this helps. Try the pork chops! ”

“ My wife and I decided to do something different for a late lunch - early dinner so we thought we would try McGuire's. It's probably been 40 years since my last visit when I was in the area for knife and Fork school or when the USS Norman pulled into Pensacola, either way, it was a long time ago. It was great then, it is great now! Our waitress in a traffic job keeping tabs on us, her pleasantness and professionalism was superb. My $.18 bean soup was absolutely delicious! The guacamole burger that my wife ordered was incredibly huge. I don't think she really put a dent in it. I enjoyed the smaller filet, believe it was called Molly's cut. I'm glad we went in between lunch and dinner as it looks like it would probably be extremely busy on a Friday night! Make sure you bring a flashlight if you have problems seeing in the dark :-) ”

“ McGuire's Irish Pub is a famous and very good place to eat when visiting Pensacola. When I come here it's one of my must visit restaurants. Inside it's large with many small to medium size dining rooms each with its own theme. Of course it has a large parking lot to match. The rooms themes vary from the Blue Angels (remember this a Navy town) to a room about Notre Dame football. The most noticeable and infamous part of the interior decor here are all of the one dollar bills hanging from the ceiling. It's been a long standing tradition here to staple an autographed dollar bill to the ceiling to commemorate your visit. How popular is this tradition? The management estimates there are about 3.2 million of them hanging inside. Yes I said 3.2 million dollars! I understand they have the money insured in case of a fire. Smart move. I had lunch in the wine cellar room on a recent weekday and ordered the Shepherds Pie for $20. I added a bowl of their Senate bean soup for 18 cents. McGuire's uses the same recipe that the US Senate cafeteria uses and charges the same price that the cafeteria charged when this restaurant opened in 1977...18 cents. Yes it's a cute gimmick but take advantage of it. Always order it when you order a meal. It's only 18 cents and tastes pretty good. First to arrive was a complimentary small loaf of black bread warm and fresh. Like chips and salsa at a Tex Mex restaurant that's what you get here for free. With the supplied butter and big knife to slice it, the bread is delicious and goes fast. Then the bean soup showed up and it's the best 18 cents that I have spent in a long time. Finally the Shepherd Pie arrived. It was a casserole of ground steak, fresh veggies and smashed Irish potatoes and cheddar cheese on top all baked together in its own deep skillet. It tasted very good and was very, very filling. So much so that I couldn't finish it all but I wanted to. The atmosphere is excellent with pleasant music playing in the background, interesting interior decor, very good food and service. Kim did a very good job taking care of the table. Do yourself a favor and come eat here! ”

“ Oh man, I don't have any idea how I haven't yet reviewed McGuire's. For me and my friend group, this place was the celebratory spot. We came here for pretty much every birthday, we had Friendsgivings here, we had honorary Christmas dinners here. This place was everything to us. Truly one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Ambiance is absolutely unparalleled. The main décor is the over one million dollar bills that adorn the walls of the entire place. You bring in a dollar, write on it with a Sharpie, and the server brings you a giant stapler to leave your mark forever. The secondary décor is other Pensacola stuff, Irish things, and the legendary moose on the wall in the main music room. Be careful making eye contact with the live singer, you might be kissing that moose. Service is always fun. I feel like they ask a particular set of questions on the server interviews to make sure they always hire fun, loud, outgoing people. It's appreciated. The world needs less stuffy servers afraid of losing their tips. These McGuire's servers leave an impression, and I hope others tip them as much as I do. Food is always good. Some of it is 10/10 great, some of it is 1/10 why does this exist, but even if it was all 1/10, the food is only about 33% of the splendor of this place. Either way, if you're looking for winning dishes, get a steak or a burger. Things to avoid would be seafood things nowadays. Always eat too much bread, always get dessert, and always come back. ”

“ I knew this was popular and after giving it a try I can definitely see why. I had no idea what to expect before walking in besides knowing it was a well visited restaurant so found it necessary to try when visiting Pensacola. Long story short, it was worth it. The portions were HUGE, and not only that but very very well made. The fettuccine with chicken especially was incredible. I particularly enjoyed the bread and butter served at the start of your meal. Service was QUICK considering how busy they were. They had someone walking around playing the bagpipes which was fun. Definitely give this place a visit and walk around inside when you do ;) ”
